O R D E R
The writ petition has been filed challenging the order of punishment imposed on the petitioner dated 08.10.2013.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that challenging the very same order the petitioner had filed a review petition on 17.01.2014 and the same is pending before the 1st respondent herein. So far, the 1st respondent has not disposed of the review petition, hence suitable directions may be issued to dispose of the review petition.
3. The respondent had filed a counter affidavit stating that the review petition is pending with the Government and it is under consideration and suitable orders would be passed.
4. Mr.R.Govidnasamy, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents on instructions would submit that the review petition is pending with the Secretary to the Government, Revenue Department and suitable directions may be issued to dispose of the review petition.
5. Considering the above facts and circumstances, the Secretary to the Government, Revenue Department is directed to consider the review petition filed by the petitioner dated 17.01.2014 and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
