The Director of Collegiate Education, DPI Campus, College Road, Chennai - 600 006. ...Respondents in both WPs Common Prayer: These Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to award appropriate marks for Teaching Experience to the petitioners (Regn Nos.1622120 & 1642686 respectively) by considering the Teaching Experience gained by the petitioners from 01/08/2003 & 13.12.1999 respectively onwards for selection to the post of Assistant Professor in English based on the notification/prospectus issued by first respondent Teacher Recruitment Board dated May 2013 for direct recruitment of Assistant Professor in Tamil Nadu Collegiate Education Service in 2012 and consequently direct the first respondent to allow the petitioners to undergo the process to selection including Interview and to select and appoint the petitioners to the post of Assistant Professor in English based on merits in the selection.

COMMON ORDER Today, when these matters were taken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioners, on instructions, submitted that the relief sought for herein has become infructuous and hence, nothing survives for adjudication in these writ petitions.

2.In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, these writ petitions are dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
