Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 2 to 4 to initiate appropriate action against the 5th respondent by exercising their powers under Sections 244 and 256 of the Chennai City Municipal Corporation Act, 1919 thereby ensuring that the 5th respondent and his men, agents, servants and other persons claiming through or under him not to carry on the construction in the property bearing Door No.20, Kellys, Kilpauk, Chennai-600 010, unless it is in compliance 1/4

with all the statutory requirements prescribed under Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act, Chennai City Municipal Corporation Act or any other statutory rules and regulations including the Development Control Rules that are currently in force.
