Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent herein to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 18.07.2018 and accordingly revise the seniority/Selection Grade/Special Grade of the petitioner in the post of Assistant Agriculture officer with all other monetary and service benefits and to pass such further or other orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case and thus render justice. O R D E R

The petitioner was working as Assistant Agricultural Officer. He attained the age of superannuation on 30.04.2008 and was permitted to retire vide proceedings of the second respondent on 28.04.2008. The petitioner has been submitting repeated representations to revise the seniority and Selection Grade/Special Grade of the petitioner in the post of Assistant Agriculture officer with all other monetary and service benefits. His repeated representations in this regard were rejected by the second respondent and therefore the petitioner filed an appeal before the first respondent. The first respondent, upon appreciating the entire issue, has passed a detailed order on 08.10.2015, directing the second respondent to follow the order dated 08.10.

2015 and consider the representation of the petitioner to revise the seniority / Selection Grade/ Special Grade of the petitioner in the post of Assistant Agriculture officer . The grievance of the petitioner is that even thereafter, the second respondent did not consider the representation of the petitioner, in the light of the order of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.

the first respondent dated 08.10.2015. Hence, the petitioner has submitted representations dated 11.12.2017 and 18.07.2018 to the first respondent, which did not evoke any response, which has made the petitioner to file the present writ petition.

2. Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. In view of the limited nature of the prayer, without going into the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 18.07.2018, and pass orders thereon, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
