Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representtion dated 25.10.2018, regarding reinstating the petitioner in service as Scavenger from 01.05.2018 with back wages and absorb her in the permanent establishment of the bank with all other monetary benefits.

This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to consider the representation dated 25.10.2018. The petitioner joined as Scavenger cum Cleaner in the Corporation Bank in the year 1994 at Kellys Branch her monthly basic pay was Rs.2400/- plus allowances. She served at Kellys Branch for more than 24 years. It is the claim of the petitioner that suddenly on 01.05.2018, her services were disengaged by the respondent, without any notice, on the ground that the bank is getting shifted to a new location. The petitioner sent a representation dated 25.10.2018, requesting for reinstatement, which was not considered by the respondent. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

2. In view of the limited relief sought for during arguments, this Court is of the view that it is not necessary to dwell into the merits of the issue, but it would be suffice to direct the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders on the same within a particular time frame.

3. In the above circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent to consider the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

representation of the petitioner dated 25.10.2018 and pass orders thereon, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
