O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to take necessary steps to permit the petitioner to conduct Christmas Festival comprised in Old S.No.194/11 (part), bearing patta No.231, with New Survey No.258/6 (part) situated at No.57, Agaramthen Village, Tambaram Taluk.
2. According to the petitioner, the above land belongs to them and they want to celebrate the Christmas Festival in the said site and hence, they made an application before the respondents 3 and 4 seeking permission. But that application was not considered so far. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr. S.R.Rajagopal, A.A.G., submitted that already there was a dispute with regard to the said property and the petitioner did not approach the respondents seeking permission to conduct festival. The petitioner had given a representation before the third respondent only for seeking police protection to conduct Christmas Festival.
4. Considering the above facts and circumstances , as the respondents did not receive any application for seeking permission to conduct festival so far, the petitioner is directed to approach the respondents 3 and 4 and to file necessary application seeking permission. On filing of such application, the respondents 3 and 4 are directed to consider the same and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
