..Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other writ or direction or order in the nature of Writ thereby directing the 5th respondent to consider Petitioner's representation dated 22.11.2018, requesting to replace the electricity metre bearing

its service number as 08253-005-1883.

ORDER

The relief sought for in the present Writ Petition is for a direction to direct the 5th respondent to consider the representations submitted by the writ petitioner on 22.11.2018, requesting the respondents to replace the electricity metre bearing No. 08253-005-1883.

2. The grievance of the writ petitioner is that on account of the defective electric meter, the petitioner is forced to pay excess consumption charges than that of the actual usage.

3. In this regard, the petitioner made several representations to correct the meter or to change the same. However, no action has been taken.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the excess amount paid by the writ petitioner was taken note of by the 5th respondent and the variation in consumption chargers were also noticed by the Officials concerned. Inspite of that, no action has been taken to change the meter or to repair the same.

5. Under these circumstances, the 5th respondent is directed to consider the representations submitted by the writ petitioner on 22.11.2018 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. The writ petitioner is directed to enclose the copy of the representation and other documents along with the order passed in the present writ petition.

6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No Costs. Consequently, Connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
