This petition has been filed to delete the petitioner/1st respondent namely, The Additional Director, Director of Survey and Land Records, Survey House, Chepauk, Chennai from the cause title of the above writ petition on the grounds of mis-joinder of parties.

2. Heard Mr.N.Srinivasan, learned Additional Government Pleader for petitioner and Ms.Kaavya Silambannan Associates for for respondent.

3. This Court finds that the first respondent in the above writ petition is not a necessary or proper party to the writ petition, as any proposal for rectified entries in the patta has to emanate from the Thasildar, therefore, this petition is ordered as prayed for. The first respondent Additional Director, Director of Survey and Land records, Survey House, Chepauk, Chennai - 5 stands deleted.
