Respondent PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to consider the application of the petitioner dated 11.06.2015 for renewal of permit in respect of the petitioner's stage carriage TN-67/D8262 since re-registered as PY-01/CK-6852 for a further period of five years from 30.06.2015 to 29.06.2020 and grant the same. O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 11.06.2015 for renewal of the petitioner's stage carriage permit in respect of vehicle No.TN-67/D-8262 since re-registered as Py01/CK-6852 for a further period of five years from 30.06.2015 to 29.06.2020.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing , the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that the application of the petitioner has been considered and the same has also been rejected by the respondent in and by his proceedings No.134/PY/1995/TD/TP1/2018, Puducherry, dated 21.01.2019 and he has also produced the copy of the order.

3. Since the petitioner's application has been rejected, now the prayer sought for in the writ petition cannot be granted. However, if the petitioner has any grievance against the order passed by the respondent, it is always open to him to challenge the same in the manner known to law.
