This matter is taken up for hearing through Video Conferencing mode.
2. This writ petition is filed seeking for mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.11.2018 and pass orders on the same.
3. Today, when the matter is called, there is no representation for the petitioner.
4. Heard the learned standing counsel for the respondents.
5. It is stated that the petitioner is a physically
challenged person and he is living in a poor condition with his family having two children. It is further stated that he is having a petty shop at Kilpauk, Barnaby Road to support his family and he is running his family with the help of the income received from the said petty shop. Therefore, he seeks permission from the second respondent to run the petty shop and accordingly, he made the above representation.

The learned standing counsel for the respondents submitted that this kind of application has to be made before the Town Vending Committee of the Chennai City Corporation and therefore, the petitioner has to make such application before the said committee so as to enable the said committee to consider his application and pass appropriate orders.
7. In view of the fact that the petitioner has already made the application before the respondents on 26.11.2018, this Court is of the view that this writ petition can be disposed of as follows:
(a) The respondents shall forward the application filed by the petitioner on 26.11.2018 to the Town Vending Committee, Chennai City Corporation so as to enable the said committee to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's request.
(b) The petitioner is also directed to furnish a copy of the said application once again to the Town vending Committee, Chennai City Corporation along with his request before the said committee seeking for permission.
(c) Such application shall be filed by the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
No costs.
