PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to provide free 5HP motor pump set electricity connection to petitioner's land in Survey No. 86/1B2 based on the application of petitioner's father namely, Chinnanna Gounder dated 15.12.1987 registered as Serial No. 1683. O R D E R
The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondents to provide free 5HP motor pump set electricity connection to petitioner's land in Survey No. 86/B2, based on the application of petitioner's father namely,
Chinnanna Gounder dated 15.12.1987 registered as Serial No. 1683.
2. The grievances of the writ petitioner is that the application submitted by the father of the writ petitioner for free Electricity Service Connection for agricultural activities has not been considered for a long time. The application submitted is pending for many years.
3. However, the writ petitioner has not established that the respondents had violated the application seniority or otherwise. In the absence of establishing any ground that the respondents have violated the terms and conditions of the regulations, this Court would not be in a position to grant the relief as sought for in the present writ petition. However, it is made clear that the respondents have to follow the seniority and other regulations inforce scrupulously and without any deviation. In this regard, the case of the writ petitioner shall be considered, along with all other eligible persons, in accordance with the seniority and as per the rules in force.
