This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondent to settle the terminal benefits of the petitioner.

2. The petitioner, who was working in the respondent Corporation, was removed from service. He challenged the same before the Labour Court, and the Labour Court passed an award for reinstatement of the petitioner without backwages and other attendant benefits. The said award was challenged before this Court and this Court confirmed the award of the labour Court. In the meanwhile, the petitioner reached the age of superannuation. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

However, his terminal benefits were not settled and the petitioner submitted a representation on 18.05.2018, which was not considered. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

3. Mr.Kannan Kumar, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondents. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials placed on record.

4. In view of the limited relief sought for, this Court is of the view that it is not necessary to dwell into the merits of the issue, but it would be suffice to direct the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders on the same within a particular time frame.

5. In the above circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.05.2018 and pass orders thereon, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
