Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the Memorandum of Grounds in CRL.A.NO.844 of 2018 on the file of the High Court, the High Court will be pleased to suspend the sentence made in Special S.C.No.9 of 2016 dated 31.10.2018 on the file of Fast Track Mahila Court, Dharmapuri and to enlarge the petitioner on bail pending CRL.A.NO.844 of 2018 on the file of this Honble Court in pursuance to the Crime No.2 of 2016 of the file of the respondent Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and the Memorandum of Grounds in CRL.A.NO.844 of 2018 on the file of the High Court and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.ABRAR MOHAMED ABDULLAH I., Advocate for the petitioner, and of MR.R.RAVICHANDRAN Government Advocate on behalf of the Respondent, the court made the following order:- This miscellaneous petition has been filed seeking to suspend the sentence imposed on the petitioner by judgment dated 31.10.2018 by the Fast Track Mahila Court, Dharmapuri, pending disposal of the above criminal appeal.
In view of gravity of the offence committed by the petitioner under POCSO Act, this Court is not inclined to entertain the miscellaneous petition seeking suspension of sentence and hence the same is dismissed.
