With the consent of the learned counsel on either side, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing.
2. The prayer of the petitioner is to direct the first respondent to dispose of its representation dated 30.04.2018.
3. The petitioner is a Singapore company. They submitted a representation dated 30.04.2018 to the first respondent seeking to impound the passport of the fourth respondent on the ground that there are cases pending against him on the file of the Central Crime Branch, Chennai, and Serious Fraud Investigation Office, Government of India. Since the same is not acted upon, the petitioner is before this Court with the aforesaid prayer.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the representation, directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.04.2018 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioner, the fourth respondent herein as well as any of the interested parties and also affording them an opportunity of personal hearing, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of.
No costs.
Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
