ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; learned counsel for respondent Nos.1 and 2 and the learned Senior Counsel for respondent Nos.6 and 7.

2. The petitioner is seeking direction to respondent Nos.1 and 2 to remove/demolish the illegal construction put up by respondent Nos.6 and 7. The said illegal construction, according to the petitioner, is situated at No.54-C and 55-D, PTC Quarters, Thoraipakkam, Chennai-600 096.

3. A counter-affidavit has been filed by respondent No.2, in which it is stated that after inspecting the site in question, action has been initiated by issuing a notice dated 11.01.2019 to respondent Nos.6 and 7 calling for approved plan under Section 56(1) and 57 read with Section 85 of the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act, 1971.

4. The learned counsel for respondent Nos.1 and 2 states that thereafter, they will proceed in accordance with law in relation to the removal/demolition of the illegal construction.

5. In view of the statement made by the learned counsel for respondent Nos.1 and 2, no further orders are necessary in this writ petition.

6. The writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.40085 of 2018 is closed.
