PRAYER:

Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to transfer the investigation of the above case in Crime No.696 of 2018 from the file of the Inspector of Police, Kannamangalam Police Station, Tiruvannamalai District to the file of the second respondent herein viz., the Inspector of Police, CB CID, Tiruvannamalai District or to any other investigation agency having competent jurisdiction to investigate the matter for proper investigation and report. For Petitioner : Mr.L.Mahendran For Respondents : Mr.M.Mohamed Riyaz, Additional Public Prosecutor.

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking to transfer the case in Crime No.696 of 2018 from the file of first respondent to the file of the second respondent.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that there was no progress in conducting the investigation and hence, seeking a direction of this Court to transfer the case from the file of first respondent to the file of second respondent.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the first respondent police is conducting investigation and the final report is yet to be filed.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents police.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the first respondent is directed to complete the investigation in crime No. 696 of 2018 and file final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the entire investigation shall be monitored by the Superintendent of Police, Tiruvannamalai District.

6. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
