Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records and quashing the impugned order dated 13.12.2018 of the first respondent vide Rc.No.178966/NGB IV(2)/2018 and consequently direct the respondents to allow the petitioners to work in the previously transferred and joined place of respective police stations in Tiruppur city as per order dated 07.11.2018 of the second respondent.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioners herein challenging the impugned transfer order dated 13.12.2018 passed by the first respondent transferring the petitioners herein from Tirupur City to other Districts on administrative grounds. 2.The contention put forth by the learned counsel for the petitioners is that the transfer order has been passed when the petitioners are nearing their retirement dates. It is also stated that they have been transferred to places 250 Kms away from their present working places at Tirupur. 3.The prayer made in this writ petition is to quash the impugned order and to direct the respondents to allow the petitioners to work in the previously transferred and joined place of the respective police stations in Tiruppur city as per order dated 07.11.2018 of the second respondent.

But, today, the learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the first petitioner has agreed to join at Namakkal and the other petitioners are willing to join either at Trichy or Dharmapuri and hence they may be permitted to make representations in this regard to the respondents and the same may be directed to be considered by the respondents.

4.Mr.S.R.Rajagopal, learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondents, has submitted that if any such representations are made, the same will be considered by the respondents in accordance with law.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioners are directed to make representations about their place of joining as submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners, to the respondents within a period of one week from today. On such representations being made, the respondents shall pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, forthwith. 6.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
