PRAYER in all W.Ps: The Writ Petition has been filed Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.06.2018 seeking issuance of a housing patta with respect to a property situated at Survey No.272/1A, Thirumangalam Village, Omalur, Salem. C O M M O N O R D E R These Writ Petitions have been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 14.06.2018 seeking issuance of house site patta with respect to a property situated at Survey No.272/1A, Thirumangalam Village, Omalur, Salem.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submit that they have been residing in a house constructed on the above said land for the past several years and the same have been used only for residential purposes. They have also been paying property tax and the electricity connection bearing Nos.1159, 895, 894, and 887 respectively, have been given to their houses and have been paying electricity charges as well. However, till date, the housing patta have not been granted in their favour. He further submits that they have made an individual representation dated 14.06.2018 before the 1st respondent seeking grant of house site patta to the above mentioned property, but, the same are yet to be considered by the 1st respondents. Hence, the petitioners are before this Court.

3. Heard Mr.E.Balamurugan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the 1st respondent and Mr.M.Perumal, learned Government Advocate appearing for the 2nd respondent.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on merits of the representations, directs the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 14.06.2018 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioners and the persons interested in this regard and also affording them an opportunity of personal hearing, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
