ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for police protection to the petitioner and her husband. 2.It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner married one Sanjeeviraj and it was intercaste marriage which took place on 14.12.2018. This marriage was not supported by the family members of the petitioner and therefore, according to the petitioner, threat was exerted by the family members of the petitioner. Therefore, a complaint was given to the respondent Police, on 22.12.2018, seeking for police protection. Since the same was not considered, the present petition has been filed before this Court seeking for police protection.

3.When the matter came up for hearing during the last occasion, the learned counsel representing the mother of the petitioner appearing before this Court stated that the mother wants to see her daughter and she wants to spend some time with her daughter. before this Court today. This Court also permitted the petitioner to meet her mother and both of them had a long discussion.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the mother submitted that the family members will not interfere in the life of the petitioner and no threat will be caused to the petitioner or her husband and they can live peacefully. However, it was requested by the learned counsel that the petitioner can keep in touch with her mother so that the relationship does not get snapped.

5.This Court called the petitioner and enquired her and she also agreed that she will be in touch with her mother. The petitioner further stated that she will continue to live with her husband and will also pursue her higher studies. The only guarantee that she wanted was that her family members should not threaten the petitioner and her husband. This guarantee has now been given by the mother of the petitioner who was present before this Court.

6.In view of the above, no further orders are required to be passed by this Court and the apprehension raised by the petitioner ceases to exist, in view of the categorical stand taken by the mother of the petitioner.
