W.P.(MD.No.22163 of 2018 HON'BLE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE and D.BHARATHA CHAKRAVARTHY, J (The Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) Mr.J.Ravindran, learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondents, by filing an affidavit, dated 11.01.2023 and referring to the same, which was filed by the Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Secretariat, Chennai, submitted that the lands covered in S.Nos.814 to 816 have been already handed over and ordered to be transferred to the Judicial Department way back on 05.10.1986 itself, but the classification of the said lands was shown therein in the year 1968 as the Government Poramboke - Sengulam Tank, which has to be updated as the Government Poramboke - Judicial Department. Since the handing over of the lands took place as early as in 1 / 3

the year 1968 itself, the classification should have been done then and there and it has been inadvertently left out to be updated. When the lands in question were already handed over to the Judicial Department on 05.10.1968 itself, after handing over of the said lands on that date, necessary classification has not been properly done in the Revenue Records. Therefore, the respondents seek for permission to update the Revenue Records. Accepting the said request, the permission is granted to update the Revenue Records as noted above, as the 'Government Poramboke - Judicial Department'.
