Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents herein to transfer the patta bearing No.14902 in his name in respect of the lands comprised in Survey No.27/2D measuring to an extent of 1.27 cents situated at Chinnaveppampattu Village, Vaniyambad Taluk, Vellore District. The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to transfer patta bearing No.14902 in the name of the petitioner for the lands in Survey Nos.27/2D measuring to an extent of 1.27 cents situated at Chinnaveppampattu Village, Vaniyambad Taluk,

2. According to the petitioner, he is an agriculturist and he purchased Punja lands in Survey No.27/2D measuring to an extent of 1.27 acres, by a registered sale deed dated 11.01.2011. Since then, he has been in possession and enjoyment

of the same.

3. The petitioner would state that he submitted an application dated 26.07.2013 to the second respondent for transfer of patta, which was not considered. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

4. Heard Mr.M.Saravanan, learned counsel for the petitioner; Mr.A.Ansar, learned Government Advocate for the respondents and perused the records.

5. The learned Government Advocate submitted that for transferring the patta, the petitioner has to move an formal application along with the requisite fee and if the petitioner complies the condition, the second respondent would process the application for transfer of patta.

6. In the light of the prayer sought for and submission of the learned Government Advocate, the petitioner is directed to give a formal application after paying requisite fee within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On such compliance, the second respondent is directed to take appropriate action on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months there from.

7. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There is no order as to costs .
