PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the entire records pertaining to the order of detention passed by the second respondent in his proceedings in C.No.19/Detention/C.P.O/T.C/2022 dated 03.02.2022 and quash the same as illegal and produce the detenu namely Sankar, S/o.Chinnadurai, aged about 22 years, now he is confined in Central Prison, Trichy, before this Court and set him at liberty.

(Order of the Court was made by R.SURESH KUMAR, J.) The detenu in this case was detained on 03.02.2022. The said detention though had been extended for a maximum period of one year, which was over by 02.02.2023, thereafter, he has been released. Therefore, nothing survives in this Habeas Corpus Petition, the learned Additional 2/5

Public Prosecutor contended, which has not been controverted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.
