PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondent Nos.1 and 2 to direct the Respondent No.3 to 5 to disburse the grant in aid for Catract operations for the period between 2017 to 2024 to the petitioner by considering his representations dated 20.09.2024.

The instant writ petition has been filed by a Ophthalmologist, seeking a mandamus as against the respondent Nos.1 and 2 to direct the respondent Nos.3 to 5 to disburse the grant in aid for Cataract Operations performed by him during the period between 2017 to 2024, based upon his representation dated 20.09.2024.
2. It is the contention of the writ petitioner that the petitioner has rendered a noble service in implementing the National Programme for Control of Blindness (NPCB) Scheme. As per the said scheme, the petitioner is eligible to receive amount of Rs.350/- for each cataract operations, which 2/4
he had performed. Though, records have been forwarded by him to the third respondent, so far the grant in aid amount has not been disbursed for the period covering between 2017 to 2024. The petitioner has also addressed a representation to the authorities on 20.09.2024, seeking to disburse the grant in aid amount. Since, there is no response from the authorities, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. Considering the above said facts, the third respondent is directed to consider the representation of the writ petitioner, in the light of the above said scheme and pass orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above said observations, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
