ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by C.T.SELVAM, J.) Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Special Government Pleader for respondents.

2. Petitioner, informing himself to be a reporter for the past 25 years contends that 191 ration cards stand issued to the residents of Arasarkulam Village, but ration shop is situate 3 Kms away at Vallakulam Village and the usual norms for setting up a ration shop is 150 families ie., one ration shop for every 150 cards, with an additional norm that the ration shop shall not be at https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

a distance beyond 1-1/2 kms radius. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that representations were made by the residents of Arasarkulam Village and the petitioner has also made a representation on 13.03.2018, which till date remains unanswered.

Considering the rival submissions and nature of the matter, we consider it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 13.03.2018, on merits and proceed in accordance with law, within two months of receipt of this order. The outcome of the representation of the petitioner may be intimated by the respondents to him.

4. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
