JUDGMENT
(Judgment of the Court was delivered by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The learned respective counsels appearing on behalf of the parties to the lis submitted that a compromise has been arrived at between the appellant and the first respondent teacher. 2/6
2.The compromise memo filed by the appellant and the first respondent stands extracted hereunder:
"1.It is submitted that the first respondent herein has filed a Writ Petition in W.P(MD)no.19036 of 2021 before this Hon'ble Court for Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 3 & 4 to pay the petitioner a sum of Rs.5,48,196/- towards arrears of salary in terms of the proceedings dated 31.10.2019 of the first respondent and the proceedings of the second respondent dated 30.08.2020 along with 18% interest within the stipulated time. The appellant herein is the fourth respondent in the Writ Petition.
2.It is submitted that on 02.08.2024 the Hon'ble Court has disposed the Writ Petition and directed the respondents 3 and 4 to pay Rs.5,48,196/- towards arrears of salary along with 6% interest within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order.
3.It is submitted that the appellant, who is the fourth respondent in the writ petition, has filed a Writ Appeal as against the order dated 02.08.2024. Pending the appeal, the appellant and first respondent has reached an amicable settlement. As per the compromise, the first respondent has agreed to receive a sum of Rs.4,25,000/- from the appellant, as a final settlement. The first respondent, in future, will not claim any amount from the appellant.

4.It is submitted that the appellant has paid amount a sum of Rs.4,25,000/- through cash to the first respondent on 02.08.2025. The first respondent has no objection to close the Writ Appeal, recording the compromise memo."
3.In view of the compromise memo, this Writ Appeal stands disposed of. The said compromise memo shall form part of the Judgment. There shall be no order as to costs.
