Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to release the petitioner's vehicle of Lorry, bearing Registration No.TN-45-BJ-7688 from the custody of the second respondent police and to hand over the above vehicle to the petitioner by considering the petitioner's representation dated 01.08.2018 within the time limit as stipulated by this Court. O R D E R

When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is submitted on behalf of the respondents that on payment of Rs.50,000/-(Rupees Fifty Thousand only), the vehicle shall be ordered to be released in favour of the petitioner.

2. Considering the circumstances of the case and the submission made on behalf of the respondents, the following direction is issued pending finalization of the writ petition: "the petitioner is directed to deposit a sum of Rs.50,000/-(Rupees Fifty Thousand only) in favour of the first respondent within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on such deposit being made, the first respondent is directed to release the vehicle seized by the second respondent, which is now https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

under the custody of the first respondent within a period of one week thereafter. In case, no such deposit is made, the present order shall stand vacated automatically without further reference to this Court."

3. With these directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
