ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by J. NISHA BANU, J.) Even though a larger relief has been sought for by the petitioners to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 27.06.2023 and consequently forbearing the respondents from laying down a different road from Kulathupatti to Perumal Kovilpatti, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District and consequently directing the respondents to widen and maintain the existing road from Kulathupatti to Perumal Kovilpatti, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the respondents 1 to 6 to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 27.06.2023 and to pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law within a time frame.

2.Considering the limited relief sought for by the petitioners, notice to the seventh respondent is dispensed with.

3.The learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 6 submitted that the representation of the petitioners will be considered on merits.

4.Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 6, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the claim made by the petitioners, there shall be a direction to the fifth respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioners dated 27.06.2023, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity to the petitioners and seventh respondent, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4/7

5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
