O R D E R

The writ petition has been filed in the nature of mandamus seeking a direction against the respondent to provide free electricity connection under Agricultural Service Scheme based on the application, dated 26.10.2021 submitted by the petitioner herein. 2.In the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition it had been stated that the petitioner had purchased the portion of undivided property from one Karuppan Chettiar, S/o.Chokkalingam Chettiar, with respect to lands in S.No. 197/3 Pillamangalam village, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukottai District. The property was subdivided as S.No. 197/3A and total area purchased by the petitioner was 43 ares. The petitioner had applied for free agricultural electricity connection for 5Hp load. The seniority number is 120/2004. There was an error and survey number was wrongly recorded as 197/3H instead of 197/3A.

3.After direction issued by this Court on 15.03.2023, today, the learned Standing Counsel has stated that the survey numbers were verified and both the survey numbers related to the same land. 2/4

4.In view of the above, whenever a policy is taken to provide free electricity connection, the application of the petitioner may be considered and free electricity connection may be granted to the petitioner. 5.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. 09.06.2023 NCS : Yes/No Index : Yes / No Internet: Yes/ No PNM To The Executive Engineer, Tangedco, Distribution and Maintenance, Thirumayam, Pudukottai.
