PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of habeas corpus calling for the records relating to the Detention Order passed by the second respondent in Detention Order No.01/2019(CS), dated 09.12.2019 and to quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the body of the detenu, Archana, wife of Selvam, aged about 33 years, before this Court and set her at liberty, now detained at Special Prison for Women at Madurai.

[Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed by the mother of the detenue, namely, Archana, wife of Selvam, aged about 33 years, challenging the detention order No.01/2019(CS), dated 09.12.2019, passed by the second respondent, branding her as "Black Marketeer" as contemplated under the Prevention of Black Marketing and Maintenance of Supplies of Essential Commodities Act, 1980 (Central Act 7 of 1980).

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents, by producing a copy of G.O.(Rt). No.290, Co-operation, Food and Consumer Protection (E2) Department, dated 31.12.2019, would state that the impugned detention order has been revoked.

3. Recording the above submissions, the habeas corpus petition is closed.
