In W.P(MD)No.15192 of 2022 the writ petitioner, alleging that there is an encroachment in the Corporation Road, came before this Court seeking Mandamus for removal of the encroachment alleged to have been made by the sixth respondent.

2.Even at the time of disposing the writ petition, this Court on perusing the photographs produced by the writ petitioner found that there is no permanent structure in the alleged place except a small hand cart. Further, directed the Corporation Authorities to conduct a survey and remove the encroachment if any. Alleging that the said order was not complied with, the present contempt petition is filed by the writ petitioner. 3.In response to this, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for Madurai Corporation, has communicated a copy of the letter sent to the writ petitioner by the Assistant Commissioner, Madurai Corporation, dated

23.01.2023, wherein he has informed the writ petitioner that on survey of the road mentioned in the writ petition, they found no encroachment either permanent or temporary and the complaint is lodged out of the malice against one Selvi.

4.This Court recording the aforesaid statement. Hence, this Contempt Petition is disposed of as devoid of merits.
