ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to provide appointment to the petitioner under compassionate ground, by considering his application dated 25.11.2021. 1/4

2. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner's wife was appointed as Staff Nurse in Government Primary Health Centre, Thiruvarangam, Ramanathapuram District. While his wife was in Covid-19 duty at the respondent hospital, she died on 05.10.2021, due to sudden illness. Hence, the petitioner has made a representation dated 25.11.2021, before the Director of Medical and Rural Health Services, Chennai seeking compassionate appointment. Since the said representation was not considered, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

4. Heard Mr.R.Ponkarthikeyan, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.S.P.Maharajan, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondent.

5. Considering the above said facts, this Court directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 25.11.2021 and pass appropriate orders, as per the seniority.
