ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's application dated 30.05.2025 and to survey the land and fix the boundaries of the land comprised in Survey No. 201/11B1A in Patta No.849, situated at Panthanallur Village, Thiruvidaimaruthur Taluk, Thanjavur District, within the time to be stipulated by this Court.
2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is in possession and enjoyment of the property in question and that the application seeking survey and demarcation of its boundaries is pending without any progress.
4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that proper steps would be taken to survey and demarcate the land in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.
5. Recording the aforesaid submission, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's application dated 30.05.2025 and demarcate the petitioner's land, after considering the claims of the petitioner and any other rival parties, if any, and to pass orders in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to work out their remedies before the Civil Court.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
