ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 to conduct survey and measurement in respect of the land in Survey No.451 in Ayyappanayakkanpatti Utkadai Mannadimangalam Village, Vadipatti Taluk, Cholavanthan Sub Division, Madurai South, Madurai District and to issue survey report to the petitioner within a time frame by this Court and
consequently, to direct the fifth respondent to provide adequate police protection for survey.
2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. Since no adverse orders are going to be passed against the respondents 6 to 8, notice to the respondents 6 to 8 is hereby dispensed with.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is lawful owner of the subject property. With a view to properly identify the boundaries and avoid future disputes, the petitioner decided to measure the subject property. Therefore, the petitioner submitted an application dated 30.10.2025 before the competent revenue authorities seeking survey and demarcation of the said land. Despite the said application, respondents 1 to 4 have failed to take any action to survey and demarcate the petitioner's land within a reasonable time. The petitioner apprehends obstruction during the process of survey and demarcation and has therefore sought adequate police protection from the fifth respondent.
5. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 would submit that proper steps would be taken to survey and demarcate the land in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.

Recording the aforesaid submission, this Court directs the respondents 2 and 4 to consider the petitioner's application dated 30.10.2025 and demarcate the subject property, after considering the claims of the petitioner, the respondents 6 to 8 herein and any other rival parties, if any, and to pass orders in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is needless to state that the revenue officials may seek assistance from the fifth respondent Police, if Police assistance is required while carrying out such survey. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to work out their remedies before the Civil Court.
7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
