O R D E R

The petitioner is the mother of her deceased son namely Baskaran, who died due to corona epidemic. In order to receive the ex-gratia amount, she made a representation on 13.05.2022 and the same was not considered. Hence, she filed a writ petition before this Court in W.P(MD).No.11237 of 2022 and this Court vide order dated 10.06.2022, directed the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 13.05.2022 and pass appropriate orders.

2. Pursuant to the order passed by this Court, the ex-gratia amount of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand only) was paid to the five legal heirs of her deceased son and each of them has been paid a sum of Rs.10,000/-

(Rupees Ten Thousand only), in which, the petitioner is also one of the legal heirs. She was also paid a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) vide Cheque No.116470 dated 01.02.2023 and she has fixed her thumb impression on 01.02.2023.

3. In view of the above, the disobedience alleged by the petitioner cannot be treated as willful in nature. Accordingly, this Contempt Petition is closed.
