Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, praying this Court to direct the Learned II Additional District and Sessions Judge Cum P.C.R.Court, Tirunelveli, Tirunelveli District to consider and dispose of the bail application to be filed by the petitioners on the same day of its filing on their surrender through virtual video mode in connection with the case in crime No.114 of 2020 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Koodankulam Police Station, Tirunelveli District. Advocate(Criminal Side) appearing for the Respondents, this Court made the following order:
This Court, by its order dated 08.06.2020 in Crl.O.P.(MD) No.5734 of 2020 directed the petitioner to surrender before the learned II Additional District and Sessions Judge cum P.C.R.Court, Tirunelveli, Tirunelveli District within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was not in a position to surrender before the concerned Court within the time stipulated by this Court and seeks further time to surrender.
3. Considering the request made by the petitioner, the petitioner is directed to surrender before the learned II Additional District and Sessions Judge cum P.C.R.Court, Tirunelveli, Tirunelveli District, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order/uploading this order, failing which, the order passed by this Court, shall stand automatically cancelled, without further reference to this Court.
4. Accordingly, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is ordered.
