letter dated 24.11.2025 issued by the 1st respondent and quash the same as illegal arbitrary and unconstitutional and consequently direct the 1st respondent to defreeze the Savings Bank Account No.41629190424 maintained by the petitioner with the 1st respondent Bank.

ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to quash the impugned letter dated 24.11.2025 issued by the 1st respondent and consequently to direct the 1st respondent to defreeze Savings Bank Account No. 41629190424 maintained by the petitioner with the 1st respondent Bank.

2. It is stated that there was an appropriation of funds, which were allegedly used to purchase property and for cheating other claimants in a Bitcoin investment scheme. The respondents have initiated proceedings under the TNPID Act. The respondents had earlier requested the TNPID Court to defreeze the petitioner's account, and based on such request, the TNPID Court had defreezed the petitioner's account. Now, the petitioner is again seeking defreezing of the account. The petitioner ought to approach the competent Court under the TNPID Act for appropriate relief.

3. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. In case, if any petition is filed before the TNPID Court, the same shall be considered in accordance with law.
