ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to disburse the terminal benefits of the petitioner which includes Pension, Gratuity, Leave Salary and other benefits. 1/4
2. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The case of the petitioner is that he was appointed as Bill Collector in the respondent Corporation on 02.02.1984. Thereafter, he was promoted as Revenue Inspector (Special) and retired from service on 31.05.2022. However, till date the terminal benefits of the petitioner was not granted. Hence, he has made a representation to the respondent on 21.12.2022, seeking to disburse the terminal benefits which comes to Rs.23,78,703/-. Since the said representation was not considered, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that this Court may issue a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.12.2022 and pass appropriate orders within a stipulated period as fixed by this Court.
5. Heard Mr.N.Murugesan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.S.Devasena, learned counsel, who takes notice for the respondent. 2/4

Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation 21.12.2022 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
