ORDER

Seeking direction to the first respondent police to transfer the investigation of the case in FIR No.666 of 2022 dated 20.07.2022 from the file of the second respondent police to some other agencies by considering the petitioner's representation dated 08.12.2023, this criminal original petition is filed.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner, who is the defacto complainant, has lodged a complaint with respect to missing of her husband, following which, a first information report in Crime NO.666 of 2022 was registered by the second respondent police. However, thereafter, no progress has been made. Hence, this petition.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), on instructions, submitted that this is a man missing case and the person left from house in the year 2022. Now, all the erstwhile police officers were transferred. 2/5

4.In view of the above submissions, this Court hereby directs the second respondent to conclude the investigation in Crime No.666 of 2022 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. However, the first respondent police is directed to monitor the ongoing investigation undertaken by the second respondent from time to time. The second respondent is directed to appraise the progress of the investigation every Friday, till the conclusion of the investigation, to the first respondent.

5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
