Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.10.2020 and to issue separate patta to the petitioner in respect of the Old Survey No.118/A, subsequently sub-divided as Survey No.118/A1 and Survey No.118/A2, Aravakurichi Village and Taluk, Karur District measuring an extent of 90 cents within a stipulated time granted by this Court.

ORDER

The prayer in the Writ Petition is to direct the first respondent to grant separate patta to the petitioners in respect of the subject property mentioned in the prayer in this Writ Petition.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is seen that the private respondents have been served and though their names have been printed in the cause list, there is no appearance on behalf of them.

W.P.(MD)No.844 of 2021 3.Mr.M.Karuppasamy, learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent would produce a copy of the communication of the first respondent dated 09.02.2021 stating that the petitioners' request for grant of patta would be considered and orders would be passed within a period of two months. 4.In view of the communication of the first respondent to the learned Government Advocate, dated 09.02.2021, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to pass appropriate orders in respect of the pending request of the petitioners conveyed vide their representation dated 17.10.2020 and on merits and in accordance with law. The first respondent is also directed to afford sufficient opportunity to the petitioners as well as the other private respondents who were arrayed as parties in this Writ Petition and after hearing them, pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
