This Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code to direct the Learned II Additional District and Sessions Judge Cum P.C.R, Court, Tirunelveli, Tirunelveli District to consider and dispose of the bail application to be filed by the petitioner on the same day of its filing on his surrender through virtual video mode in connection with the case in Crime No.112 of 2020 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Koodankulam Police Station, Tirunelveli District.
ORDER:- This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition coming upon for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.R.Anand, Advocate for the Petitioner and of Mr.A.Robinson, Government Advocate for the Respondents, this Court made the following order: This Court, by its order dated 18.05.2020 in Crl.O.P.(MD) No.5366 of 2020 directed the petitioner to surrender before the 1/3
jurisdictional Special Court, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was not in a position to surrender before the concerned Court within the time stipulated by this Court and seeks further time to surrender.
3. Considering the request made by the petitioner, the petitioner is directed to surrender before the jurisdictional Special Court, within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order/uploading this order, failing which, the order passed by this Court, shall stand automatically cancelled, without further reference to this Court.
4. Accordingly, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is ordered.
