ORDER

Seeking a direction to direct the respondents herein to furnish the closure report, dated 30.10.2025 filed by the 2nd respondent Police in Crl.OP(MD)No. 19079 of 2025, this Criminal Original Petition has been filed. 1/4

The learned counsel for the petitioner pointed out that earlier in Crl.OP(MD)No.19079 of 2025, which was earlier filed by the petitioner before this Court seeking police protection, this Court has passed an order dated 05.11.2025 with a direction to the respondents 1 & 2, who are the respondents herein to serve the closure report on the petitioner forthwith. However, even after a lapse of nearly two months, the said exercise has not been done. Hence, the petitioner has sought the indulgence of this court.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) fairly conceded the petitioner is residing at Andhra Pradesh and running a furniture business. The Second respondent police tried to serve a copy of the closure report to the petitioner's mother. But, she refused to receive the same without the consent of her son. However, the Second respondent police tried to serve the same to the father-in-law of the petitioner. He also refused to receive the same. Hence, the second respondent police are unable to serve the copy of the closure report on the petitioner and there is no fault on their side.

4. I carefully considered the submissions made on either side and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the refusal of the mother and father-in-law of the petitioner in receiving a copy of the closure report from the second respondent police, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) magnanimously issued a copy of the closure report to the counsel for the petitioner at the time of disposal of this case.

6. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of with a direction to the learned counsel for the petitioner to serve the copy of the said closure report to the petitioner forthwith. 02.02.2026 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No dss 3/4
