ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders to direct the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge (PCR Court), Pudukkottai to accept the surrender of the petitioner and consider his bail application on the same day on merit relating to Crime No.241 of 2022 dated 27.12.2022.
2. The petitioner is the accused for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b) of IPC and Sections 3(1)(r), 3(1)(za)(C) and 3(2)(va) of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities Act, 1989 in Crime No.241 of 2022, pending on the file of the second respondent and apprehending arrest, he has filed the present petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 and perused the materials available on record. 2/4
4. Considering the seriousness and gravity of offence allegedly committed by the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to issue any direction at this point of time.
5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 23.01.2023 NCC :
