O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the Additional District and Sessions Judge (PCR Court), Vallam, Thanjavur, to consider the bail application of the Petitioner in Crime No.502 of 2023 on the same date of surrender and dispose the same on its merits in accordance with law.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submits that the Petitioner herein and the 3rd Respondent / Defacto complainant are husband and wife. It is a love and intercast marriage. The Petitioner is alleged to have punched on the Nose of the 3rd Respondent / Defacto complainant resulting in injuries. She had lodged a complaint to the Inspector Police, Tamil University Police Station, Thanjavur, based on which, F.I.R. in Crime No.502 of 2023 was registered. The 3rd Respondent/ injured was admitted on 28.11.2023 and discharged on 29.11.2023. 2/4

3. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. The Petitioner is directed to surrender before the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge (PCR Court) Vallam, Thanjavur, within 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order or from the date of uploading the copy of this order in the official web-site of this Court.

4. On such surrender by the Petitioner, the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge (PCR Court) Vallam, Thanjavur, shall consider the bail application of the Petitioner and dispose of the same, after issuing notice to the 3rd Respondent / Defacto complainant and after hearing their objections of the victim of the crime, pass appropriate orders as per law.
