: Contemnors / Respondents PRAYER: Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, to punish the respondent for the willful and deliberate disobedience to the orders of this Court made in W.P.(MD) No.7326 of 2021, dated 31.03.2021.

Prayer in WP(MD). 7326 of 2021 :

Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court S-12. To issue a writ or order or direction, more in the nature of WRIT OF MANDAMUS directing the Respondents to pay interest at the rate of 18 percent per annum, for the period of delay from the petitioners date of retirement (31.05.2019) to till the date of reimbursement (22.01.2021) of amount paid towards the petitioners terminal and pension benefits namely EPF Employees Contribution, Gratuity, Encashment of Earned / Sick Leaves and Commutated Value of Pension, within a time frame as may be fixed by this Honorable Court, without affecting the petitioners right to claim balance amounts towards those benefits. ORDER

Alleging non-compliance of the orders of this Court in W.P.(MD) No.7326 of 2021, dated 31.03.2021, the petitioner has filed this contempt petition.

2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Counsel for the respondents submitted that the orders of this Court has been complied with. Learned Counsel for the petitioner though endorsed the said submission, raised certain objection with regard to the calculation of interest for the commutation amount. Therefore, he prayed for a direction to the respondents to furnish the copy of the calculation memo arrived by them. 3.In view of the aforesaid submission, this contempt petition stands closed. However, the respondents Corporation shall furnish a copy of the calculation memo arrived by them to the petitioner and the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the same, if so advised.
