The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition as a Public Interest Litigation to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to install a TASMAC Shop in a suitable place at Kulasekaram in Kulasekaram Village, Kalkulam Taluk, Kanyakumari District, by considering the representation of the petitioner, dated 18.12.2019.

W.P(MD)No.412 of 2020 2.By the representation, dated 18.12.2019, the petitioner along with another person, requested the authorities to install a TASMAC shop in a suitable place at Kulasekaram Village, Kalkulam Taluk, Kanyakumari District. In the said representation, the petitioner justified for taking alcohol which cannot be appreciated by this Court. That apart, the decision to install a TASMAC shop is only at the sole decision of the District Collector and no direction need be given to install a TASMAC shop in a particular place. 3.When the Government is making propaganda with regard to the injuries caused by consuming alcohol, these types of writ petitions for the purpose of installing a TASMAC shop cannot be entertained. Therefore, we are not inclined to entertain this writ petition and accordingly, the same is dismissed. No costs.
