The above petition is filed by the State, to condone the delay of 270 days in preferring the above criminal appeal, against the judgment dated 09.12.2024, in CC.No.178/2023, by the learned Sessions Judge/Presiding Officer, Special Court for EC and NDPS Act Cases, Pudukottai. 2.The petitioner/State, in the affidavit filed in support of the petition averred that due to administrative process, there was a delay of 270 days in preferring the appeal. The petitioner states that the delay is neither willful nor wanton, but due to the aforesaid reason. The petitioner, therefore prays for condonation of the delay.

3.Though the respondents 1 and 2 are represented by counsel, there is no appearance. Mr.S.Kasirajan, learned counsel appears for the 3rd respondent. Though notice was served on respondents 4 to 6 and their names are printed in cause list, they have not appeared either in person or through counsel.

4.The learned counsel for the 3rd respondent submits that he has no objection for the delay being condoned.

5.Being satisfied with the reasons stated in the affidavit filed in support of the petition, the petition is ordered and the delay is condoned. 6.Registry is directed to number the criminal appeal, if the papers are otherwise in order and list the same for admission. 27.02.2026 AP Internet: Yes
