This Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to grant permission and necessary protection to conduct Pongal Festival and its allied events such as sport events for the children, Anna Dhanam, Temple Pooja, Cultrual Events etc., at Kaya Vembupathi Narayanaswami Kovil in Kayavembu Pathi, Rasthakadu, Variyoor Post, Kanyakumari District scheduled to be held on 15.01.2020, 16.01.2020 and 17.01.2020 based on the petitioner representation dated 03.01.2020

Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing the learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) would submit that on receipt of representation given by the petitioner dated 03.01.2020, the second respondent police conducted enquiry and granted permission to conduct Pongal Festival and its allied events such as sport events https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

for the children, Anna Dhanam, Temple Pooja, Cultrual Events etc., at Kaya Vembupathi Narayanaswami Kovil in Kayavembu Pathi, Rasthakadu, Variyoor Post, Kanyakumari District scheduled to be held on 15.01.2020, 16.01.2020 and 17.01.2020.

3. Recording the aforesaid submission, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs.
