ORDER

The petitioner has been appointed as Office Assistant in the respondent Board on compassionate ground. Since the petitioner's brother died, he is taking care of his brother's sons. Therefore, he has submitted a representation dated 09.10.2025 to the respondents, seeking to record his brother's sons as his legal heirs in the Service Register. Since the said representation has not been considered by the respondents, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

2. When this writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the respondents, by referring to a letter dated 20.01.2026, submits that the request of the petitioner has been rejected by the 3rd respondent that his brother's sons cannot be treated as his legal heirs in the absence of any document that he has adopted them. A copy of the letter dated 20.01.2026 is also served on the petitioner. 2/4

3. Recording the said submission, this writ petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner either to produce the documents as required by the respondents or to challenge the letter dated 20.01.2026 in the manner known to law. No costs.
