The writ petition has been filed for a direction to the first respondent to complete the proceedings, dated 21.10.2024 and to issue patta in the name of the petitioner.

2. With the consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. The petitioner is the owner of the properties in S.Nos. 637/1A, 7A, 8A, 12D and 637/2B to an extent of 12 cents, 12 cents, 12 cents, 24 cents and undivided 27 1/2 cents at Punnappattai Vllage, Natham by virtue of sale deed, dated 01.03.2024. The petitioner applied for patta before the first respondent on 28.05.2024 and the first respondent issued notice of enquiry on 20.11.2024. The petitioner appeared and produced all the original documents. Inspite of clear title, right and possession over the subject property, the first respondent did not issue patta in favour of the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner filed the above writ petition for the aforesaid relief.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader for the first respondent submits that the next date of hearing is fixed and therefore, reasonable time may be granted to complete the proceedings.

5. In view of the above submission, a direction is issued to the first respondent to conclude the proceedings and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
