ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus seeking a direction against the second respondent / the Revenue Divisional Officer, Devakottai, Sivagangai District, to complete the proceedings, which are pending on his file, for cancellation of patta.

2. The fourth respondent / Muthupandi is the brother of the petitioner herein. In view of the nature of the order passed, notice is not directed to the fourth respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

3. Mr.D.Ghandiraj, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for respondents 1 to 3.

4. A direction is given to the second respondent / the Revenue Divisional Officer, Devakottai, Sivagangai District to examine the case of the petitioner and also the case of the fourth respondent, examine whether the patta has to be granted jointly or individually either in the name of the petitioner or in the name of the fourth respondent and after conducting the said inquiry, complete the proceedings on or before 31.03.2022.

5. With the said observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
